Rain gone

Today the rain has left us and we are off to a beautiful start to the day. It's 84 degrees and no wind, but right now the humidity is 81% so it's probably going to be a sticky one later today. I spent some time in the office this morning visiting and it seems like in the next couple of weeks the winter group will start arriving and then let the fun begin.

Today as the Labor day weekend starts you would expect the park to be full of weekend warriors here to enjoy New Mexico's largest body of water, but that's not the case. The low water levels have really affected the number of people that are showing up and it really impacts the economy here as tourism is their #1 business. It does leave the park more quiet than usual, but it comes at a price for the owner.

More visiting on tap for today and a ballgame tonight as part of enjoying the good life.

  1. It is 90 here right now and humidity is about 70%. Really hot. We are packing for our departure tomorrow and sweating up a storm.

    1. Haven't heard of or talked to anyone that's been doing any fishing. Nobody's doing any bragging so I'm not sure there is much fishing going on.
