Choice made

Today was, as my mother used to say, a day to make a choice between a dog license or a haircut. I opted for the haircut. Other than that nothing is being done. I figure after all the walking I did in Bluff a day to rest the feet is in order. I am going to place an order with Amazon today for new walking shoes and request my mail be sent, additional housekeeping chores as I run across them will be dealt with. I'm also curious to see if Mel is going to get a paint job today. I am right across from the shower/laundry room and they are power washing the building in a 25 mph wind in preparation for painting it. I'm sure hoping it's not spray paining they are planning in this wind. Should be a treat if they do.

A day to relax can also be a part of enjoying the good life.

  1. Oh, what color? Maybe you can go stand there and get your hair colored too?

  2. Good choice, John. Relaxing and watching the wind blow is very therapeutic.

  3. Just read about the Colorado wildfires, be safe!

I didn't think Canon City was near Mesa Verde, but this is what I read on the website:

"All businesses and residences from Parkdale to Soda Point, near Mesa Verde National Park, were being evacuated because of a 300-acre fire that jumped the Arkansas River near CaƱon City, the U.S. Forest Service said."

    1. I checked http://www.inciweb.org/ which lists all active fires in the US and the one they must be talking about is the Royal Gorge fire. Royal Gorge is only 300 miles from here so I think someone is confused where Mesa Verde is.

  4. Glad you didn't opt for the dog license. I hear they require rabies shots before you can get one!!

    1. Just another reason, I never did like rabies shots and distemper would be even worse.

  5. I wish I could find a place to get a hair cut up here.

Slow easy days are good to enjoy the good life and get ready for the next big adventure.
