Winters back

Winter temperatures are back in the Mission Texas area. It's 66 degrees here this morning and that's making me rethink leaving Monday. Looking across I-10 to the west it looks like overnight temperatures will be in the 40's and 50's and for a wimp like me that would make pretty uncomfortable sleeping. So the weather watch is on and when the temperatures reach my comfort range I'll make my getaway.

More folks pulled out today and everyone except the year round residents are making preparations and will be leaving in the next week or so. There are less than 20 people that make this their home year round.

I just got a telephone call reminding me that my last dental appointment is tomorrow. Once that is out of the way I'm cleared to travel whenever. Hitch-itch has set in, c'mon weather, cooperate.

I'm going to see if I can find a good movie to watch this afternoon so I can stay inside and enjoy the good life.

    2. I'm waiting on the winter weather to go away too. I was supposed to leave today heading south but now I have to wait till Monday. All the dang snow stopped my preparations by a few days. Don't want to travel on the weekend (lots of spring break folks on the road this weekend, either starting out or heading home) so I'll leave bright and early Mon morning. Hope the weather cooperates for you so you can hit the road whenever you want to. Safe travels.

  6. Your weather was almost like ours but I believe it was warmer here. I like sleeping in the cold better than warm.

Hope the weather gets right for you.
