What's up

I use Google Reader to check on and monitor my RSS feeds. Yesterday morning I had read all the posts when all of a sudden the counter showed 30 unread posts. When I pulled up the reader I found that 21 of the posts were from 3 people I follow who post every day and that for some reason I had a weeks worth of posts from each of those three people. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this to happen or is just one of lifes little mysteries that I will have to learn to deal with?

Today we continue the weekend mode. Right now it is totally overcast, but there is no hint of rain. I will keep busy with a full slate of b-ball while enjoying the good life.

  1. The mysteries of the electronic world baffles even the ones who wrote the programs. Many times either Kathy or I will see a blog has posted and the other can't. Sometimes it is as easy as closing the program and reopening it while other times we need to reboot the computer and that doesn't always do the trick. Of course trying to figure that out is like a job and cuts in to Enjoying the Good Life. Be Safe!

    It's about time.

    1. Having been in the computer business for over 10 years, one learns to accept some of the computers foibles rather than spend time trying to figure them out. Your blog was one of the ones that provided a weeks worth of enjoyable reading all at once.

  2. John...same thing was happening to me yesterday. Even my list I was following was out of order, some that I had deleted were back. Today it's back to normal.

  4. I had about a dozen from the same person populate my Google Reader file too. Maybe it was more than that. Who knows what happens inside Google. I have an idea but just as soon as I post it, I'll find out it was something different.

  5. It's the mystery of the ages...maybe all the "1s" and "0s" went out of control? ;c)

  6. I, too, have had difficulty with the reader since I've been back on the computer. I finally just decided to go down my blog roll and go from there.

  7. I think it is a glitch in Reader. I unsubscribed to a few blogs and one day they all showed up again. Drove me crazy.

    1. I've tried to unsubscribe from a few with very little luck too, but it didn't drive me crazy because with me it's only a short putt.

    1. I guess it's just to keep our minds busy so we don't have time to get in trouble.

  9. My opinion is that things like that are most likely related to all the giant data centers that Google has around the country. Trying to keep everything in sync all the time must be a real chore, don't you think?

    1. I'm sure it's a massive undertaking and one wrong comma in a line of code can cause havoc. That said it should happen to other people, not me.
