Today we are in the process of returning some of the land we took from Mexico as a result of a 30 mile wind blowing form the north to the south. Large amounts of topsoil are in the air with a southerly attitude.
Tonight entertainment returns to the park in the form of The Young Family Band from Guthrie Oklahoma. Their show presents some Gospel and Bluegrass music with a touch a Country. They appeared in the park last year and I know for a fact we will be entertained tonight.
The rest of the day will be spent hunkered down to avoid the dust in the eyes syndrome. I have a new book to read so I will use it to enjoy the good life.
You've got the wind, and I'm thinking of building an ark today. ;(
ReplyDeleteIf you build a sailboat and bring it over we can go sailing.
DeleteWinds are horrible here too. Enjoy yourself tonight.
ReplyDeleteTie down so you don't blow away.
DeleteWe are having a rare spring like day here. What's rarer is I am off from work today. There is a god after all!!
ReplyDeleteAlways thank the weather gods for the good days, especially when you don't have to work.
DeleteMaybe some of those undocumented folks will stay in Mexico and start farming on all the topsoil blowing over there?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be nice.
DeleteWe have been outside sight seeing all day. We are both sticky with so much dust on us. It has been a horrible outdoor day!
ReplyDeleteWe've sure moved a lot of topsoil though. Too bad you stood in the way of the dusts journey south.
DeleteI can put up with about anything if I can settle down with a good book in my hands.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when it's really windy it's hard to focus on the print.
DeleteJust for the record I did not send that wind to you! You just seem to get in the way of our left overs. Sorry
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the entertainment tonight.
Your not guilty plea made me laugh.
DeleteYes, those winds are just awful and tonight they are getting worse!

They've finally died down here in the valley and I can put the flag back up.
