Lots of activity

There has been a flurry of activity in my back yard since yesterday afternoon when some movers showed up with a new park model to be set in the space behind me.

It arrived behind this truck

There is the main unit.

And in comes the porch/foyer.

Mating them up. They are still working today on tying the unit down, adding the skirting and doing the finish work.

Meanwhile, three spaces down they are preparing this park model to move out of the park later in the week.

This mornings activity was down at Jim and Priscilla's as Roger and I helped them load their Uhaul truck for their move to San Antonio. Health concerns have forced them out of their RV and they have given up management of this park and bought a sticks and bricks. They begin their new lifestyle tomorrow.

This is the truck and we managed to fill this with the contents of their 5th wheel. Who would have guessed they could have accumulated that much in a 5th wheel? They will be missed.

Tonight I will be hosting a Survivor party at my place. Roger and Donna are also leaving tomorrow and have returned their cable box to the cable company. The two of them are hooked on Survivor and I offered my TV for tonight so they didn't suffer withdrawal. Just another wild party at my place.

The rest of the day will be spent just keeping an eye on all the activity around me while enjoying the good life.

  1. Interesting to see the "comings and goings" of park models. Wonder how well they hold up when moved down the road and shaken up?

  2. I would guess they would hold up like an RV seeing as how they are made by RV manufacturers.

  4. That does seem like a good sized uhaul for RV items. But I often thought if I got all my stuff out, I'd be pretty surprised.

    1. My friends were pretty amazed at how much came out of the 5er. Reminiscent of clowns getting out of a small car at the circus.
