Doctors advice.

I have been following doctors orders for the last 24 hours and things are already improving. The first item on the recovery list was plenty of rest. As you know I have been preparing for this moment for the last 4 years, so there was no time lost in getting into the rest mode. The second instruction was soft foods. I've found that ice cream fits the bill very nicely and softens automatically once place in the mouth. The third instruction was to reduce any swelling by applying cold. Being a conservatoire of motion I have found that ice cream can be pressed into service to serve this purpose also. By killing two birds with one stone as it were, this frees up more time to follow instruction number one. I think I may have stumbled on the perfect recovery plan.

The recovery is actually going well. Other than two ibuprofen that I took yesterday, no pain medication has been required. I am taking an antibiotic as a precaution and I expect that recovery will be completed on 1/2 gallon of ice cream or less.

The rest of the days agenda is pretty clear cut. I will be following doctors orders and enjoying the good life.

It sounds like you've got your "med's" figured out for your tooth, well done. Now if Mel heals as quickly the good life will be even better.
