Success

There have been several successes that last couple of days. First, Mr. Progressive is up and running and protecting Mel from any strange bursts of electricity. With the amount of electronics on board Mel, this is just good insurance.

Mr. Progressive is more than just a surge protector. He is an electrical system manager, he checks the level of voltage and if it gets too high or too low he shuts the system down. If there is a power interruption he holds off a minute and a half before resetting so the air conditioner isn't damaged, he makes sure the polarity is correct and the ground working. It makes me tired just thinking of how hard Mr. Progressive is working.

The next thing to report is GreenSmoke seems to be doing the job. I finished the day yesterday having smoked 6 cigarettes. I have been up since 6 am this morning and I've had 1 cigarette. That's a pretty drastic reduction of a habit that goes back almost 50 years.

The other news I want to share is that my grandson Devon, who is serving with the U S Navy, is stationed on board the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson, which was the platform that launched Bin Laden on his deep sea adventure. He got to witness a piece of history up close and personal. To Devon and all our men and women in uniform, thanks for you service.

Today we have an afternoon ballgame to watch and then it will just be a simple task to enjoy the good life the rest of the day.

  2. What an experience for Devan. Hope he and his fellow military are thankful for all they do.
