Side trip

After leaving Chloride the other day and before heading back to Elephant Butte, Loren took me to a couple more sites. First we climbed the hills above Chloride to check out the town cemetery.

This is the view of the town of Chloride below as we descended from the cemetery.

Then we headed to some side roads where Loren know of some petroglyph sites and and some Indian encampments from days gone by.

Today is traveling day. I should be hitting the road about 10 am and the first stop will be Wal-mart to stock the pantry. Other than heading east, todays destination is unknown, but we will certainly make an attempt to enjoy the good life.

  1. John,
You have some fellow hitch-itchers close by. I would want someone to tell me.

  2. Hey there!
Got a comment from rv0777 that you guys are close. Any chance you'll be stopping by Monzano Mountain State Park? That's where we're going today. Would love to meet-up!
