10/26/2014 - 11/1/2014

During this week in my life history nothing happened. Oh sure, a trip to Walmart for groceries if that counts. I did go through the infamous Millenicom hassle that all their former customers got to enjoy. Two hours on hold with Verizon before a representative became available, this was after a trip to the local Verizon store to be confronted with that deer in the headlights look of a person, actually a whole store full of reps who thought Millenicom was something from Star Trek, not a clue. Anyway, the conversion was eventually accomplished and Verizon is now my internet provider.

As if that wasn't enough of a trick or treat situation Friday was Val's first event of the season, the Halloween diner. A nice little get together of 30+ hosted by Ken and Lyn the activity directors and the park management. Brats, beans and potato salad with some pretty tasty deserts and Ken as the head chef put a smile on everyone's face.

Saturdays games came out as expected with two of my three teams winning and the rest of the day was spent recovering from last nights wild party.

Another week has passed and next week should see even more arrivals here at Val's where everyone enjoys the good life.

  1. We have three more spots waiting for the snow birds to alight. Full house then.

  2. Haven't decided what to do about wi-fi yet. Stubborn-don't like big corps telling me what is best for me. May be without wi-fi for awhile after Nov 8th.

    1. I understand that, but I'm still on a no contract plan and will switch in a heartbeat if something better comes along.

  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one that had problems with the Millenicom/Verizon switch. I was beginning to get a complex...

  5. Not ALL the former Millenicom customers had to deal with a Verizon rep. We didn't. We just added the 40GB deal to our current AT&T plan. It took less than 10 minutes and we were good to go.

  6. I already have Verizon but I noticed my bill went up $10. if it goes up again I will drop it. I'll get something for at home and when I travel I'll have to find some free Wifi.
Did you dress up for the party?
