3/4/2014 - 3/7/2014

Tuesday
Nothing happened of any importance today until 8 pm when I again got to watch the Hoosiers lose to a team they should have beaten. As I've said it's been that kind of year.

Wednesday
Another weather less than gorgeous day and not much was done out in the weather. I have found away to while away the hours during these dreary days. Check out Jigsaw Planet which is designed for the terminally bored.

Thursday
This morning started with some unwanted excitement when an ambulance fire truck and police cars showed up to take my neighbor to the hospital. Not something we really enjoy seeing. The last report is Donna is doing well and should be released soon.

At lunch it was time for another trip to the Riverview Club. Seven of us made the trip and all of us left full. It was 60 degrees, so just a bit too cool to eat out on the patio. Thursday is double river boat cruise day. They run one cruise at noon and another at 1 pm so the place was packed.
The boat returns from the cruise.

Looking west we can see the Chimney RV Park

A fountain at the Riverside Club.

Friday
Today started with another exit from the park by one of the park models. This makes the 5th or 6th park model to leave the here this season. Not a good sign.

The day ended with another ambulance hauling someone else out of the park and the temperature beginning to drop after a high of 77.

  1. As many times as we have been at Riverside, I have never seen that fountain.
You better get the heck out of that park and fast. Seems there must be something in the water.

  2. Those park models are not an easy or cheap move. I have always thought I would prefer to stay in an RV so it is cheap and easy to move.

    1. Down here in the Valley there are several parks that will pay for the move to get you into their park or as an alternative the first years rent is free. Funny thing, after all the move outs a sign went up today offering all sorts of incentives to move to this park.

  3. We've been reading where many parks are slowly weeding out the unkempt park models and fixing the sites for RVers. The reason is it gives them tax breaks they can't get by just having the park models.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Here these aren't older park models, just unhappy customers.

  4. Seems like at any large park in the winter, ambulances are not an uncommon sight:(

    1. In this part of the country the winter brings lots of Winter Texans which are mostly retired and coming here to enjoy God's waiting room.

  5. Bet you felt like you were back in the Navy on that cruise. Oh wait, this cruise actually had edible chow! ;c)

    1. I watched from the safety of shore and ate inside. I'm not too interested in Cruising the Rio Grande.

  6. Yep something is not going well at that RV Park. The rent for these places when you keep your Park Model or any thing that stays all year round is very expensive. That's why I sold out last year. Now I can roam free.
Had the EMT in here last night around 11:30.. These communities are like Forest Lawn with mail boxes.

  7. Just make sure the ambulance doesn't come for you. We are expecting you in Troy this summer.
