3/25/2014 - 3/29/2014

Tuesday
Another 'weather' day as we watch more folks begin their trek north. The place is becoming a ghost town and everyone seems to be in a hurry to get back north. I never have understood the rush to cold.

Wednesday
Still trying to be miserable weather wise and it's doing a pretty good job of it. Just enough drizzle to put a damper on outside activities. I really think it's time to put the jackets away and get on with spring.

Thursday
Time to unload the billfold at Walmart today. They seemed more than willing to accept my money, but not before I had to wait in a line six people deep. I guess they've forgotten that slogan 'you're always next in line at Walmart'.
More NCAA basketball tonight on the tube as we continue to pare down the field.

Friday
After complaining about the rain and chilly weather early in the week we are now able to complain about the heat. Yesterday the mercury rose to 102 degrees and to show my versatility I didn't miss a beat in in switching from cold complaining to hot complaining.

Saturday
A trip to Pep Boys was the highlight of the day. I picked up a package of windshield washer nozzles to correct a problem with PaTs washers and I now can squirt the windows when necessary or if I just want to.
Ballgames continued this afternoon and we now have two of the final four selected. The other two will be selected tomorrow.
More departures and we are quickly getting down to a handful of folks still in the park. There are about ten who stay year round so at least I'll have some company before I leave.

And another week passes in the Valley.

  1. The sun was shining here in Canton yesterday, now today we have 2" of snow on the ground. Oh yea, tomorrow it will be in the 60's. Downright crazy!

    1. It's still bouncing around here too. One day in the fifties and the next 102, go figure.

  2. John, you totally misunderstand that Wal Mart slogan. "You're always next in line...because there is always gonna be someone in front of you." That's the way they mean it, I think. You're right though, they never hesitate to accept your money there. If those departures from the park continue at the present pace, it will soon look just like your header photo! We took the dogs for a walk yesterday between showers outside. You have to be quick when the weather's like it is right now. Today looks like more of the same.

    1. Thanks Russ, I totally misunderstood what Walmart was trying to convey.
We are starting to get echos around here. More leaving next week. At least I have a shadow or it might get really lonely.

  3. I guess that makes you a multi tasker, being able to complain about cold and hot. Hope your favorite BB team wins, wouldn't want to see you start a riot in the RV park like happened in AZ when their team lost... :cO

    1. What few teams I had that made the tournament left plenty early and I had a little temper tantrum, but no riot.

  5. I'm with you, whats the rush to get back to the freezing cold and snow and snowing it is. Our mornings are still kind of chilly but the wind is awful chases you right back into the house.

I had that problem with my little car and windshield sprayers I had to poke needles into the thing to get some water. Not a good thing for needing a clear windshield.

    1. We are starting to get the spring winds here. Not good unless you want to fly a kite.
