Friday
With little or no hassle my initial deposit to Ally Bank has been accepted. Now the fun of transferring my direct deposits and then my e-bills begins.

Last night I got to watch Indiana defeat Iowa which was really an upset. It's been that kind of year, lose the ones we should win and win the ones we should lose. Makes for a long season.

Today I watched the first pre-season baseball game with the Cardinals playing the Marlins. The Cards are now 0-1 this season.

Another major change was decided on today. Next year I will be moving to site #62  at Val's Kountry Corral

My site for next year.

The park offers a pool, spa, and exercise room among other amenities and the annual rate will be cheaper than here at J-5. This move is a result of having met the activities directors, Lyn and Ken, while in Cortez Colorado last summer.

Saturday
Today was my lucky day. Right before deleting them I noticed had two emails in the spam folder alerting me to the fact that I had won the PCH (Publishers Clearing House, I assume) drawing for 1 million dollars. Can you imagine, not once, but twice in one day I became a millionaire. They wanted some information to complete the process, but I told them I would get it to them when I got the checks. Now I just sit back and wait for my ship to come in. Of course, I'll probably be at the airport that day.

More baseball today and throw in a couple of basketball games and my day will be quite full as I ease into the weekend mode.

  1. That looks like a nice roomy space you have for next year. Hope you enjoy. Don't spend all that million in one place. I think my ship is a garbage scow!

  2. Looks like a real nice place to be next year. You're just a regular social butterfly, John...meeting new people, cutting new deals;))
When you receive those million dollar checks, you can deposit them both to your new account at Ally bank. That should keep your balance up for awhile, and think of the interest you'll be making. It will be a good way to generate some new income, don't you think?

    1. Russ, move to the edge of your chair, I plan to share. This should raise your anticipation level.

  4. That Jupiter sure is beautiful!

Glad the Ally Bank is working out for you. I think on-line banks might be more sympathetic to those of us in wheeled homes, maybe Ally will become the bank of choice for us full-timers.

You're so lucky - $2 mil in one day. Double lucky! :)

  5. Nice looking spot for next year. Big shade tree. I can wait at the dock if you can't make it. I'll only charge a minimal fee.

  6. That's awesome, two million dollars! One million for you and the other for the IRS tax man. That guy always wins every sweepstakes and lottery... ;c)

    1. That's about the way it would work if it happens because Uncle Sam figures he's wiser about spending our money than we are.

  7. And to think you almost missed all that money because it was in your spam folder. Looks like a great spot for next year and less money always works.

    1. Saved in a nick of time. That should take care of next years rent.

  8. I looked at the website for Val's Kountry Corral. Looks like a lovely place with lots of smiling faces.

Will you be sharing your winnings with any of your good friends...hint, hint, hint.

  9. Absolutely, half for me and half for my friends.

  10. John, that just doesn't sound very good, since I know you have about a million friends. That would only work out to about 50 cents apiece after taxes. It would cost more than that just to do the paperwork. I am sitting on the edge of my seat, however, since my chair tipped forward when I moved there, and now I can't slide back up.

    1. I'm afraid I'm a few hundred thousand short of a million friends, you will be well rewarded.
