We start the day with Phil seeing his shadow. Bad news for the folks up north.
The next event of the day was at noon when Indiana faced #10 Michigan. After winning the game hell began to freeze over as the wind as the wind switched to the north and the temperature dropped from 82 to 49 degrees.
Well for a day that started so good it sure ended in disaster.
Somebody forgot to tell Denver they were supposed to play in the Super Bowl today. The ball bounced every way, but their way. It was sure a long day for Bronco fans. I guess we can take consolation in the fact that we got to the Super Bowl, only two teams can say that. Next year, the Chinese year if the horse.
I think Mother Nature is a bit bi-polar and not taking her meds. Last week it was warmer in Alaska than in most of the country.
ReplyDeleteStrange indeed. This is the strangest winter I've seen here in the Valley since I began wintering here 6 years ago.
DeleteNice to watch the games. Feel very difficult when it is too cool.
ReplyDeleteIt feels colder when you team looses.
DeleteWhat a horrible Super Bowl. We were both Denver fans...yuck! I really didn't realize how good Seattle's defense was. Congratulations to them.
ReplyDeleteThis was not the day that everything Denver touched turned to gold.
DeleteTerrible Super Bowl even if I wanted the Hawks to win. But I would have liked to see a game. Weather truly is weird. However, that meant that we had the best January weather ever in Quartzsite this year. No wind and really warm. At least we aren't seeing those drastic temperature changes.
ReplyDeleteI think the folks that paid all that money for tickets are entitled to a refund. They sure didn't get to see a game.
DeleteSuper what?
ReplyDeleteSuper Choke.
