Wednesday
On this day in history nothing happened. I went to Pep Boys expecting the parts to be ready to install, but they hadn't arrived. So it was back to the casa to wait for a phone call that never came. I did watch Indiana lose a game they should have won last night. It was the perfect end to a day that was a total failure.

Thursday
This morning I got the call from Pep Boys that the parts were in, but because today was the arrival day for my Jetpack from Millenicom we set installation for tomorrow.

This afternoon the Jetpack arrived and within 15 minutes we were up and running with a full 5 bars as opposed the the three bars I was getting before with Verizon. Funny thing the Jetpack is a Verizon item, the network I'm on is Verizon, but on my Jetpack the Verizon name is taped over with a technical support number for Millenicom.

Summing it up with Mellenicom I'm getting twice the Gigabytes
(20) per month at $10.00 less with the same coverage area and with newer equipment t boot, such a deal.

Friday
The Pep Boys have solved the transmission leak problem and Pat is well. The hoses they got in from Chrysler weren't identical to what they were replacing, but after a bit of head scratching they got things to work.

I continue to be impressed with Millenicom and I am happy with the change. Time will tell.

Saturday
I worked on the computers today. I got a new Epson printer and installed the drivers and software on the desktop and then laptop. while I had the laptop out I went on and installed Kaspersky virus protection. Now everything is up to date and ready to run.

Epson XP-310 wireless color printer.

This was a necessary purchase when I discovered my 10 year old printer, scanner combination by HP had decided its time on this planet was over.

While preforming all this installation I had to suffer through Indiana's humiliation at the hands of arch rival Purdue.

The park is having their Valentines dance tonight complete with the crowning of the new king and queen. My attendance was not required so my two left feet stayed home.

  1. Well, your two left feet just might have found two right feet. We are very pleased with our millenicom!

  2. We had to get a new printer and it took Jim awhile to figure it out but it works good now. Good news that Pat is working up to par again.

    1. This printer set up rather easily. Over the years I've wrestled with a few getting them set up. Anyone who has followed the saga a PaT knows that about the only thing left to replace is the steering wheel.

  3. We're very happy with our Millenicom MiFi, too. It seems to be almost Murphy proof! :c)

    1. Give me a while to disprove that theory. Murphy and I are very close.

  4. Glad to see that you are lurching into new technologies, John. Just goes to show you that you're much more versatile than you give yourself credit for sometimes. That's funny about Millenicom vs Verizon. I hope it continues to work well for you. Sounds like a real winner.

  5. You had the same printer for ten years? Wow...that has to be a record.
Glad the Millenicom Jetpack is working great. I can't quite get my head around the fact that it is a Verizon product using Verizon towers but works better than Verizon.

    1. As the used car salesman would say this printer was used by a little old man who only printed on Sundays. I think the Jetpack is the difference, newer technology beats what I had.

  6. I really need to look into this Millenicom. I am going over my 4g and this month trying to get the desk top to work has really gone over the edge I'm sure.

    1. Took me awhile to get on the bandwagon, but I'm glad I finally did.
