More heat.

For the second day in a row we have set or tied records here in Cortez. Each of the last two days have been triple digit and yesterdays 100 tied the previous high. Normal temperature here for this time of year is 77 so the locals aren't quite sure how to deal with this. Today is supposed to be another 100+ day and it's predicted to continue through the 4th.

There is an afternoon ballgame to keep me occupied and out of the sun so we will still be able to enjoy the good life.

  1. Head for the mountains. In 30 minutes you could be up in the forest sitting next to the river.

  4. We're having a cold spell right now. The temps have dipped to the mid 70s but feel like the low 90s. Having the AC running helps to Enjoy the Good Life! Be Safe!

    It's about time.

    1. We'll probably be sending some of this heat your way in the next few days.

    2. Actually it hasn't been too bad as long as the air is started around 9 am to stay ahead of things. The desert low humidity helps.

  5. I hope we're sending the heat somewhere. It's still not unbearable here but we are 10 degrees above normal. Can't imagine trying to survive in the RV in AZ right about now.

  6. It's even hot here in Oregon. I like it in the 70s but we were close to 100 today. More on tap for the next few days.

  7. The temps were lower but humidity higher. I turned on the a/c around 11am while I was out doing chores so it was cool when I was done. Stay cool.
