Efficient

Efficient is the word for today. To show you how that works we'll use the order I placed with Amazon the other day which had five items on it. Amazon managed to split this order into five different packages, two different carriers and three different delivery dates. That's probably not the most efficient way of doing business, but I have sure stimulated the economy. The first of the orders should arrive today.

Another beautiful day seems to be in store for us here in the four corners area. Temperature in the mid 80's and humidity  at about 20%. I can stand a whole lot of this. We do have a noon o'clock ballgame scheduled, but yesterday they weren't sure if the weatherman was going to cooperate. I just checked Weatherunderground and there is a light mist currently being reported. So, maybe ball, maybe not.

Other than that nothing much is scheduled for today. I do have a new book that I downloaded from Kindle yesterday. Molly Brown from Hannibal Missouri: Her Life in the Gilded Age. Written by my friends Ken and Lisa Marks of the Hannibal History Museum. The story of Margaret Tobin's (AKA The Unsinkable Molly Brown) birth and childhood years in Hannibal. I'm sure it will come as a surprise to many that she was from Hannibal, but indeed she was.

I guess today's chore of waiting for UPS and FedEx can be considered part of enjoying the good life.

    1. Good luck on clearing your head. When that happens to me it can take awhile to put it behind me.

  3. Glad you're enjoying wonderful weather. Other bloggers are not quite so lucky. We just had a storm go through with hail but no damage. Thank goodness.

    1. Glad you had no damage. I'm glad I came west this year, the Midwest seems to be getting bombarded with storm after storm. Keep safe.

  4. Amazon just wanted you to feel important by getting mail for at least three times in the next month.

  5. I'm always amazed at the way Amazon ships things, can't understand how they can be making any money.

  7. It's so hot here in Las Cruces. I'm trying to get my RV ready to get out of the heat! :-( I love the four corners area - it sounds like the weather there is pretty near perfect!

  8. I would guess that everything you bought on Amazon.com was not actually sold by Amazon. Read the fine print to see if an item ships from an external vendor. If an item doesn't come directly from the Internet giant, you'll be subject to the policies of that other company — which might have longer shipping times.
That is not to say that Amazon always consolidates everything purchased at the same time into the same package.
