Reassurance day.

A trip to the doctor this morning and the report was good. We are now free to travel the summer and see the doctor in the fall. Blood glucose numbers have been averaging right at 100 and daily caloric intake has been around 1600. Pedometer steps are over 5,000 per day and weight loss in the last month was 7 pounds and one belt notch. I'm pleased with the numbers and the doctor seemed to agree. Now all that is left is a dentist appointment on the 28th and we are ready to depart.

Not much else going on today, but we did see a couple more folks leave this morning and several more are making plans for a getaway in the days to come. Yesterdays temperature was 97 and today it is supposed to be even warmer, so I guess it's time to think about moving out, temperatures over 100 make it hard to enjoy the good life.

  2. That is great news about the doctor. You probably do notice feeling better with 7 less pounds.

We have been in the mid to high 80s here in Houston.

The Big Dance looks to be a good one.

    1. I started the air this morning to keep ahead of the temps, it's already 92 here.

Looking forward to the big dance.

    1. Me too, but 100 degrees is about the tipping point and if we don't get started early it can't keep up.

  6. Good for you. Those are great numbers. I go for a follow up tomorrow.

97 is not fun anymore to me. Out temps have dropped a few degrees so it hasn't been to bad
    Good luck at the dentist.

  7. Great reports on your health - you've worked towards a good goal & you are succeeding! It got warm here today too. I had to kick on the generator for a few hours so I could run the a/c for the dogs. Wish the power here were good enough for me to use the roof air. Will be exciting to follow your new adventures!
