Rain

Last night we had a huge deluge for the Rio Grande Valley as the rain poured down enough to be detected by the pitter-pat on the roof. Nothing was measured on the rain gauge, but just the anticipation of the rain forced the street dance into the rec hall. A lot of folks strapped on their dancing shoes and headed for the dance floor, I was not one of them. I have searched and searched, but I have not been able to find a suitable pair of dancing shoes. All that I've found have a right and lift shoe and I need a pair with two left shoes.

If you notice on the left side of the page I have added back in the country counter. If you care to, you can click on the counter and it will take you to a page which will give you more detailed information about the countries visiting the site.

We also woke up this morning with no water while a water line was being repaired. That situation eventually resolved itself and by 9 am the shower became available so I could make preparations for slipping into the weekend mode. Lots of sports to watch as I plunge into enjoying the good life.

  1. Being on the basketball play offs. Love this time of year.

We left Stonewall this morning instead of tomorrow morning. Going to have storms with 65 mph winds tonight. That storm is moving into Houston tomorrow. We will stay ahead of it and get to Houston today.

    1. It's so dry here you could stand in the middle of a rainstorm and stay dry.

  3. Glad you weren't dancing, the mental picture of you in a Tu-Tu is not pretty... ;c)

    1. 6" rain here, the drops were 6" apart and lasted about 10 seconds.

  5. Maybe if you forced that second left foot into a right footed shoe, you could do a little two-step or a do-si-do.

    1. Two feet in a right shoe and I would probably end up on my face.

  6. Are you actually dancing in the rain? We stayed out of it 'cuz it rained here a bit too. Now it's moved on and that we like.
