Last show.

Tonight we will enjoy the last show of the season as Lindley Creek also know as the Greer Family from Lindley Creek Missouri will be in the park to entertain. They were here last year and they put on a very lively show. (click their link to hear a sample of their music)

Yesterday was the last golf cart rodeo and I'm pleased to report there were no fatalities, as a matter of fact no one was even injured. One thing that can be said is that we all had a good time.

Dandy the Clown was on hand to run the show.

The first contestants on the course. Check out that concentration.

Wet tires mean cups have been destroyed and penalties assessed. Note our official Official in the background making notes.

Crushed cups and a path of destruction.

Even the official Official  took a turn on the course. She also offered to continue to keep score, but that was vetoed. It worked out okay though because the person who took over the score keeping duties mis-hit the stop watch and their total time for the entire course was .6 seconds. This is probably a new land speed record.

This group of folks won the People's Choice Awards for the most entertaining (this probably equates to the most unpredictable  performance, most cups crushed, etc.) but sounds better as most entertaining.

And the days winners holding their impressive trophies.
It's all about fun and that's what we do here at J-5.

Just another day of sunshine around here as we wait for tonights entertainment and continue to enjoy the good life.

  4. How are you going to keep yourself occupied if the entertainment ends? Maybe you'll find other parks you can visit where the entertainment is still going on. Lots of luck with staying busy.

    1. It's time to start getting ready to travel. 1 dentist and 1 doctor visit and it will be travel time. Plenty of projects to keep me busy in the meantime.

  5. That golf cart rodeo sounds like a hoot. Glad to hear there were no golf carts (or people) were harmed in the making of this entertainment.

  8. What fun those cups would not have stood a chance here today if they had rocks in them. The wind was wild. Do you have depart date set up?
