Parade time

The first event yesterday was the king and queen parade and reception. The golf cat rodeo followed. Here are the parade pictures.

A parade always starts with a color guard.

Followed by the bubble machine pulling royalty.

And the royal wave to the crowd.

The former royalty.

The last motorized unit.

Followed by the J-5 (lack of) rhythm band, two coffee cans and a kazoo.

Wheeled units.

And the end.

Tomorrow you will get to see the golf cart rodeo. Now for tonight we have more entertainment in the rec hall in the person of Jerry Bennet A FAME award winner. It should be a good show and good shows help us to enjoy the good life.

  1. You guys have way too much fun in that park. Next year - you need to be in the parade not just taking pictures.

  4. Was the parade televised? I didn't see it on our listing. I would have enjoyed watching it. The royalty float is amazing.

    1. Negotiations are underway with the networks, maybe next year. The Winter Texan did cover it though.

    1. The hand eye coordination just isn't there in a 55+ park.

  7. You should have been in that parade, John. You could twirl a baton with the best of 'em I'd bet!
