Did it all

Everything scheduled was worked in yesterday. First it was happy hour at my neighbors, that's Mel on the left.

Plenty of good company and food was enjoyed.

The next event was the Indiana basketball game which went my way for 39 minutes, but Indiana fell in the last .09 seconds. This year it isn't a good thing to be ranked #1, it seems like it only lasts a game or two.

The next event was Wes Thibodeaux and the Cajun Travelers and they packed the hall with the largest crowd I've ever seen in the building.

A nice large crowd.

Judy kicks off the show with her introduction.

The travelers entertain and boy did the entertain.

And a change of pace with some female vocals. This is one of the better shows we've had in the park and it made for a great evening.

Today's activity is a trip to Zapata to see The Gomer and Patsy Show and some of my old friends. It shoud be a fun day of enjoying the good life.

  1. Boy did you post early today.

We watched the Indy game. We couldn't believe the last play. Fabulous choice for Illinois. Not so much for Indiana.

    Enjoy your road trip today.

  2. I think we're busy. You just go all the time. You're going to have to head back to Hannibal just to relax!

    1. Hannibal is not the place to relax, too many friends, relatives former co-workers.

  3. We are just going to have to come down there and help you restrain yourself from all of this unrelenting activity, John! You keep enjoying so much of the good life it's making me way jealous! Especially since you have sunshine, and we don't (most of the time lately).

    1. One of the reasons for coming to this park is it has some of the friendliest people you would ever want to meet and we do keep hopping.

  8. You say "happy hour" but I do not see any drinks?

Glad you enjoyed a good show. It certainly looks like they drew quite the crowd.

    1. The drinks got set aside when the food was uncovered. Biggest crowd of the year.
