Gary and Patsy sing a few numbers.
Then Gomer showed up and really entertained.
We also saw Elvis, but he wouldn't hold still long enough to get a good picture. Several other characters visited including Barney Fife from Mayberry and Mr. Haney from Petticoat Junction. They sure put on a good show.
Then it was time to make the 100 mile drive back to the Valley and arrived just after dark. Today there are now plans as I will be monitoring my friends recovery and making myself available for a trip to Brownsville if needed.
Driving a 200 mile round trip to be entertained is another way to enjoy the good life.
Hope you have good news from Brownsville today. You're going to drive yourself to drink if you keep on driving yourself like this, John.
ReplyDeleteNo drink in my future Russ.
DeleteAt least nothing stronger than Dr. Pepper, right??
DeleteDr. Pepper is a health drink, thus the Dr.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your friend. Please keep us posted on his progress.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to see a good show. Good way to enjoy the good life.
Will do.
DeleteIf you get a chance to see the Gomer and Patsy show, take it.

ReplyDeleteIt was good family entertainment.
DeleteYou're going to entertain yourself to exhaustion with this pace. It almost seems like you have a, (to quote VP Biden) the three letter word: "J-O-B-S". ;c)
ReplyDeleteThink I could qualify for 99 weeks of non-jobs pay?
DeleteSorry about your friend. That's never good news. We only like good news.
ReplyDeleteWe saw Elvis yesterday too. He sure gets around. Doesn't he?
He's everywhere even though he's left the planet.
DeleteSure hope your friend is doing much better. Prayers are being said for him. Be sure to let us know how he's doing. Sounds like you had a pretty good show.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prayers, I'll get an update tomorrow. We see a lot of good entertainment down here.
