Under the knife.

Today is tooth removal day and I will soon be off to see the oral surgeon. Oral surgery is a term invented by dentists to replace the words 'yank a tooth out of your head', because it sounds gentler and more professional. Of course the first thing they are going to do is load my mouth up with enough Novocaine to impair my speech and make it sound like I've got a mouth full of marbles. This is so the dentist can work in an environment devoid of my screams. The screams will come later when I'm well clear of the office and the Novocaine wears office.

This afternoon it's going to be a nice day with sunshine and temps finally getting into the 70's. A good day for enjoying the good life and it will be even better if my jaw isn't throbbing.

  1. Which hurt more, the tooth removal or the money removal from your wallet? :cO

Nice of you to make the next payment on the dentist's yacht.

  2. Been there, done that... wish you didn't have to! Nice that it's warm today. You can enjoy sitting in the sunshine with an ice pack on your jaw. Don't try and be brave - take a pain pill!

  3. Didn't know you were a "yank", John. Always thought of you as a good Southern boy. Hope you were able to hold in your "yanky yell" while you were in the Dentist's office. Bet you're glad that's over with, huh? Personally, I'm going to Mexico for my dental work, that way I'll be too far away from my dentist up here for him to hear me scream!

    1. Simple surgical extraction and please go home before the pain starts. Northern Missouri means I can go either way.
