A new addition to Mel's care health arrived yesterday and was installed. One thing I didn't count on in parking for the season was Mel's engine battery running down, but when I tried to start it last week I found that is just what happened. So I decided to buy a combination charger/maintainer. Yesterday when I plugged it in I found the battery in the 0 to 25% range and I put it to work. By this morning it was showing 100% and we're back in business. This will be used for whatever vehicle I leave behind when I leave here for the summer, so I'll get my moneys worth.
We now have a genius on board.
Today is another fine day, that's two in a row, and I plan to take full advantage of it. I've already made one loop around the park and am getting ready for a second one shortly. What should be a 15 minute walk normally takes about an hour with the visiting involved. By the currently there is lots of sun and it's 77 degrees. Almost perfect for enjoying the good life.
Happy to hear that you're feeling alright today. That Genius idea is a good one. I've been thinking that I need something like that on our rig. The starter battery doesn't charge when it's sitting, even if it's plugged into power. Something like this is good. I had to charge the battery on the Fit the other day, since it's been sitting too long without driving. Let me know how you like your new genius.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good, dead battery yesterday, fully charged and being maintained today.
DeleteGreat news about the dentist.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those charger/maintainer in Ohio. When we went back during the Christmas holiday, we found it working super.
We can totally relate to the 15 min. walk turning into a half-day ordeal...especially around happy hour.
At happy hour the secret is to walk real slow with your tongue hanging out like you're looking for an oasis.
DeleteRuss has been telling me we already have a genius on board but I think he's trying to fool me. I think I like your idea better, and it will eat less.
ReplyDeleteI expect you learned a long time ago not to believe everything Russ tells you.
DeleteI passed this info on to my Joe to read. Thanks for sharing the information. I'm glad to hear the dental procedure went well and you pain is minimal.
ReplyDelete~Betty
I hope the info is helpful.
DeleteGreat news on the dental work, I have mine on Monday and am not looking forward to it. Nice to have a Genius around to keep things up and running!
ReplyDeleteI hope your dental work is a piece of cake. Being in the company of a Genius might elevate me to new heights, especially if I hold the red and black clamps in my hand at the same time.
DeleteSo happy your recovery was so good.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh happy days to the sun and warmth
Sometimes everything falls into place. Thanks for the visit.
