One good day

Apparently one good day in a row is all we can stand. Last night about midnight a storm blew in and brought rain and a bit of hail. Fortunately no damage was done. Today's forecast has some words I don't care for included. Severe thunderstorms, hail and possible tornadoes are not really words I care to see in the daily forecast. I pulled down the flag and if the wind picks up this afternoon I will pull in the slides.

This afternoon I will be visiting a local dentist to establish myself as a potential car and house payment payee and to see what fun things he can find for me to participate in while I'm in the south of Texas. Having a dentist in this part of the country makes more sense because I spend more time here than anywhere else in the country.

Last nights National Championship didn't go as planned, but then playing against the SEC conference you are playing against a different set of recruiting rules. Notre Dame at least graduates most of its student athletes.

After the dentist there are no plans other than to see what the weather brings while trying to enjoy the good life.

  1. You sure can get some nasty weather down there! It's cold & raining here again today. Yes, yesterday was our good day too. Two days of rain & I think maybe the sun will reappear?

  3. Just sitting here and waiting for the winds to start up and the rain to come pouring down.

    1. Well it did make 72, but that seems to be the only plus around here.

  5. I'm beginning to think staying in Oregon is not that much worse than anywhere else. Partly sunny and 55 here today. That's a little on the chilly side but not too terribly bad.

I'm kinda glad the Ducks didn't have to play 'Bama. Too bad for the Irish.

  6. Looks like another weatherman flop. We were going out tonight but Marsha thought it safer to stay home. The 5:30pm thunderstorm was only a sprinkle and it seems things have cleared up.

Now Marsha is watching the TIVO of some British show on PBS she taped last night. It's suppose to be the hottest "chick" show on TV his year.....Jeesh!

We do need some good weather!!!!!!

  7. Since we have family in Texas and lived there for quite a few years, we've been in lots of those storms. You've got to admit though some of those are awesome to watch ... but not if you're too close and not if you're in an RV!

    1. Growing up in the Midwest, thunderstorms have never bothered me, but for this part of the country and the time of year, this is unusual.

    1. Very nice dentist and the weather has been way less severe that predicted. Both good things.
