We have sun and 68 degrees so the activity in the park has reached a fever pitch. first the concrete truck arrived and began pours. They have four patio/driveways to pour and today is the only day this week without rain in the forecast.
The truck arrives
The pours begin.
All work done by Manual (and his friends) labor.
Another pour.
While all this concrete work is going on an old park model/travel trailer is being prepared to move out of the park.
It's been here for a couple thousand years and there is some question as to how intact it will move. Should be a fun show to watch.
With all that activity the sidewalk superintendents will be busy for the entire day. Tonight we have the first entertainment of the season, but with the National Championship on at the same time I'm not sure what the turnout might be. One thing for sure, with all the activity going on today, there is plenty of chances to enjoy the good life.
Watching concrete dry is probably a lot more fun than watching pain dry, or the grass grow. Keep having a warm sunshiny day, and enjoy your good life, John.
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't matter in a 55 plus park any movement draws a crowd.
DeleteDoesn't take much to entertain the old folks, does it? Russ used to be acquainted with Manual but hasn't worked with him for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteManual does most of the work in this part of the country.
DeleteI don't think I can top yer day ... wow -

lmao
Good point Carolyn.
DeleteGlad you were there to supervise that pour. With you vast IT background, you should be an expert on concrete installations. ;c)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure my help was appreciated.
DeleteUnfortunately the sun will not last today. The Wildlife Refuge sent us an email today with a Severe Weather warning for Tuesday afternoon and evening. Possible winds 60-70 mph, hunker down and stay safe. Bad weather starting near Zapata and heading east.
ReplyDeleteI saw the warning. Tomorrow it will be slide in and flag down.
DeleteSo glad it doesn't take much to make you happy. A cement truck, moving a trailer, and partly sunny skies. What a day.
ReplyDeleteSimple pleasures for a simple mind.
DeleteBusy place today.
ReplyDeleteAt least your temps went up. Ours went down again 57 today, sunny but cold and windy getting tires of this. It Global Warming I tell ya.
Only for a day. Two words in tomorrows forecast, tornado and hail. Not good in January.
DeleteThe sun sure brings out the people!
ReplyDeleteIt looked like a beehive.
