Heading the right way.

We are finally heading the right way temperature wise. We have reached 60 today and it's not even noon yet. There is still no sign of that big ball of fire in the sky, but maybe one day soon it will reappear.

This morning required a trip to Wal-mart to fill the pantry and empty the billfold. Both missions were completed successfully.

Today we will be engaged in seeing who is lucky enough to play the Bronco's next week. I don't know that it really matters who goes to Denver because at this point of the year I think you're really talking 'any given Sunday'. No matter, this week I will be able to sit back with no pressure and just enjoy the good life.

  2. We got sun today, John. Will send it on to you. Go Broncos! It will be an exciting road to the Super Bowl this year for sure. Why don't you apply for one of those open head coaching jobs. I can't think of anyone who could do it any better! You're a natural. Besides that, you could afford to do it for far less than they are going to pay some of those other guys who don't have near your qualifications. You keep enjoying your good life, and don't worry about it. You are far happier and more contented watching them scramble around. You've got a priceless position already, so you'd have nothing to gain!

    1. Thanks, the sun arrived about an hour ago and the streets are packed with everyone coming out to see the ball of fire.
Eighth grade football and basketball was my highest level of expertise and I received pay according to that expertise, it was a volunteer job.

    1. John, it you don't want rain, don't go anywhere near the Weavers. They seem to have a lot of bad weather mojo. Until they get shed of that, they're most likely going to get a lot more rain. I tried to tell 'em on their blog.

    2. Now you tell me Russ, they are about 10 miles from me. I guess I'd better keep the umbrella handy. At least they didn't bring snow back from Ohio.

  5. Hey John, I just came across this web site and knowing you like trains thought you might find it interesting. When they get done with it you should add it to your travel plans.
