Busy + day

Yesterday started out with breakfast at Cracker Barrel with Roger and Donna and Harley and Annis coming from Zapata. Then I followed them to the flea market at Don-West, where we ran into Don and Patt. I made one trip through the market and didn't see any fleas I needed so then it was off to the pavilion to listen to the entertainment while the women scoured the place for bargains. After we parted ways I headed for Motor City to pick up keyless entry remotes that I have been trying to get since I bought PaT back in October. Persistence pays off and I finally have the remotes in my possession. This completes my dealings with Motor City and the next time I return to them there will be a thin coating of ice covering hell.

Back at the park I ducked into the rec hall to catch the cooks making preparations for the evening spaghetti feed. This dinner was free, so we saw some folks for the first time and the body count was pretty close to 100% of the parks residents.

The head pot scrubber.

Small kitchen, big crew.

A watched pot does boil.

I'm able to report that the dinner was well attended (it's that free thing again) and everyone left full.

Later I watched Indiana beat Purdue by 37 points to set up Saturdays game between #1 Michigan and #3 Indiana. Just one more way to enjoy the good life.

  1. John you have to pace yourself better! At the rate you're going this week you won't have any time for naps...then you won't be able to stay awake to view any games on television! You gonna watch any football?

  2. I know why you blog daily. You have no choice. There's so much going on in your world that if you didn't, you'd forget half of it. At least you're having fun and enjoying life. That's what it's all about.

  4. You'd better be careful in what you say. With this wacky weather we've been having, that ice coating on Hell may happen sooner than you think... :cO

    1. They always used to refer that comment to Hell Michigan where there is likely an ice coat right now.

  5. Saw your photo on Paul and Marsha's blog tonight. HA...just because you edited yourself out of the photo you posted, doesn't mean you just disappeared from the photo altogether!
Be aware that any photos that are posted to the internet may appear anywhere at any time. You never know when or where, or why for that matter! You could become famous and not even know it until the royalties start rolling in. Wow, and to think, we knew you before all that every happened! Could you autograph a check or something and send it to us?

Finally got your remotes. Hope there better than the cheap junk I got with my car.

    1. Free draws a crowd. The remotes are Chrysler issue so they should be okay.
