Ouch

What a difference a day makes. Last night about 2:00 am I was awakened as the wind switched direction to the north and picked up speed to the 25 mph ranges. Two hours later I was again awakened when I detected the dishwasher filling with water and not shutting off. This was especially disquieting because I don't own a dishwasher and where this dream came from I  have not a clue. Another wake up at 6 am as the wind continued to pick up steam made for a night that really came up short of quality sleep. The wind continues to blow and we are a full 30 degrees colder today than yesterday so I suppose I will have an opportunity to replace the missing sleep later in the day. As a matter of fact I'm planning a siesta right after I get the dishwasher, that I don't own, repaired. One result of the wind gusts blowing is that the flag was lowered today. The gusts were putting a lot of tension on my 16 foot mast and why take a chance.

This morning I noticed on Facebook that The Hannibal History Museum was needing some additional funding to secure matching grants. This gave me the chance to give another Christmas gift to a very worthy cause. This museum has focused on presenting the other history of Hannibal that is often overshadowed by Mark Twain. I invite you to check out their web page and especially the 'explore the museum' page for some of the Hannibal background.

Last nights basketball results were positive as Indiana got back on the winning track. Probably there is more TV in my future as the wind continues to blow in an attempt to derail my enjoyment of the good life.

  2. So what kind of cash do you use to pay the dream repairman to fix the dream dishwasher? Money from the winning Powerball lottery ticket you've been dreaming about?

    1. I had an advantage, my father and grandfather had a Westinghouse/Whirlpool dealership for over 60 years, so I dreamed the fix without calling for service.

  3. I love to interpret dreams...and you are not dreaming about dishwashers literally. It could mean something to do with water. Like drowning. What does water mean to you beside drinking and cleaning? Dishwasher just came in because of what you said.....your father/grandfather owned a dealership. My guess its the holiday and maybe your thinking thinking about family and feeling sad? Just my 2 cents and it could be something else. Wishing you a wonderful holiday btw...:)

    1. Very comfortable around water, ran a boat harbor and spent time in the navy, feel like a fish around water. No sad feelings around here either. Thanks for the holiday wishes.

  6. Wind is definitely more noticeable in an RV than it is in a house. The sway you get is not necessarily welcome either. We'll certainly check out the Hannibal museum.

  7. I got out of bed at 4:30 this morn to roll my antenna down. Then went outside to lock my vent flap down for my stove vent.
Weird weather...hot when I went to bed, cold this morn! Hope you got that dishwasher fixed ;-)
