Yep, more cold weather has descended on the Valley. Right now it's 49 degrees and the thermometer doesn't seem to be making a dash toward the top. This is most unusual for this part of the country. Normally in a winter we will get a couple of days without sun, but this has been extended. One thing about this weather it is sure hard to find someone out on the street. Everyone seem to be staying pretty close to their caves.
At least this is happening on the weekend and we can go to weekend mode living. Football started this morning at 9 am and will continue to late in the evening with lots of basketball thrown in. It should be enough to hold my attention.
The after Christmas arrivals have started coming in and I think they are the ones dragging cold weather with them. We had a couple of arrivals yesterday and more today. It won't be long before we have a full house.
The major project today will be wishing for some warmer temperatures to help us with enjoying the good life.
We've noticed the after Christmas arrivals too. However, they may be from a location farther north than the ones you're getting. It was 39 in Arizona this morning!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we need a southbound port of entry where they can remove the cold before they let them pass.
DeleteSend some of your warm 49 degree weather up here to the lake. It is colder than it should be this year.
ReplyDeleteI can't spar any of the heat we've got here. Poor little space heater is working overtime.
DeleteI finally for a flight out today. Snowing like crazy in Ohio. We r headed ur way tomorrow. I will do my best not to bring the snow.
ReplyDeleteI hope your not bringing snow with you, you'll be stopped at the check point. Safe travels.
DeleteIt is cold. I'm ready for 70's and 80's so if you find them pass them back this way.
ReplyDeleteWill do, but so far we haven't even found the 60's.
DeleteSending you warm thoughts today, John. Weather guys said that we can expect a "typical winter" here in the Pacific NW this year. So far, they were right about that. Little of everything. Not enough sunshine. If you don't like it today, look out the window tomorrow, it will be different. Good luck to your teams today. May they be motivated to their highest efforts knowing you are watching and rooting them on!
ReplyDeleteThanks Russ. I'm not looking for global warming, but sure would like some Mission warming. None of my teams playing today, so it's random selection.
DeleteWe have had a heat wave here it got up to a balmy 33 today. Now thats living the good life:)
ReplyDeleteHave you got your short pants on?
DeleteRain rain go away bring back the sun today!!! Its freezing here!!!
ReplyDeleteTime for spring, right Michele.
DeleteCold weather? What are you going to do when winter gets here?
ReplyDeleteThis is about as close to winter as we get here in the Valley.
DeleteStill chilly here but at least we had 59 today its a heat wave!
ReplyDeleteTime for spring Jo
DeleteI love my cave. Spent some time in the house today, coughing & gagging over the fireplace. They had the wood burning too close to the front & the smoke was filtering the room...ugh. So I snuck out to my cave & settled onto my couch for awhile -- ahhhhhhh...I don't know how folks buy RV's without sofas?? How do they survive? Gotta have a couch! And a good tv ;-)
ReplyDeleteComfy couch, easy chair, nice TV and a toasty source of heat. That's the checklist for the good life on cold days.
