Football anyone

After two full days of football today will head in a different direction. Oh sure, there might be a couple of football games, but it is also the start of the Big 10 basketball season, so some of the day will be devoted to round ball.

This morning was spent visiting with the Pep Boys. The boys were most receptive in helping me clean out the last of the moths in my billfold the were remaining from 2012. Slowly we are getting PaT up to peak performance. Nothing that had to be done, but I prefer a vehicle that is in tip top shape. In today's case it was the front brake rotors were slightly out of spec and was dragging a bit. PaT now has new brakes all the way around and new shocks on the rear. I have also begun to look at new radios for PaT. I was tuning it this morning and found out that in this part of the country the radio seems to only speak Spanish.

Tonight the plan is to stay out of the way while the amateurs drink in the New Year. By doing this I will wake up in the morning sans headache and fuzzy tongue and will be ready for more football. My way of enjoying the good life.

  1. I think the only way to avoid the Spanish is by getting Sirius XM. We love it. We, too, will be staying out of the way tonight. And my team won last night. Yippee!!

    2. Carolyn - my sister is a Cowboy's fan. But I didn't give her too much grief over the game. She's getting old and senile - (not really but the Cowboy's??)

  5. I too have moved from college and pro football to Big10 basketball today...I predict Minnesota and Indiana winning tough fought battles today. Also I have found it best to stay at the hacienda on New Years Eve....I try to go outside and look at the moon/sky at midnight.

    Enjoy the games John.

  6. Happy New Year to you, John. You have a good plan, should work. Glad to hear that you're ready to start the new year with a freshly cleaned out wallet. Great timing on your part, too. There are lots of people that can't do that. Stay warm.
