Christmas Eve at J-5

Christmas eve at J-5 was a fun time. It began with a non-denominational service exploring the meaning of Christmas with Christmas caroling.

Next there was a 30 minute break while luminaries were lit on every road in the park.
Looking down my street.

The best decorated home in the park.

And his neighbor. Yes, that does say 'ditto'.

Then it was time for the craziness to begin with the 12 Days of Christmas J-5 style. A few selected nuts were selected out of the many to choose from and the 12 items were presented as they pertained to the park.

These are the two elves who served as ushers.

and the representatives of the 12 days.

Everyone had worked up an appetite by then, so it was snack time.

A gift exchange concluded the evenings festivities and everyone left with a smile on their face to head home for the visions of sugar plums that were ready to dance in their heads.

Todays activities have yet to be determined, but I'm leaning toward a road trip to see the sights. Most of all I'm wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you all are enjoying the good life.

  2. Merry Christmas. That looks like the perfect celebration; the real Christmas Story, carol singing, fun and games, fellowship and food. What more could a person ask for? Enjoyed your pictures.

  3. What a great way to celebrate Christmas eve! Merry Christmas to you, John. Enjoy a day filled with sunshine and joy, and may all your teams come out on top as we move on into the New Year. Oh, I enjoyed seeing all the lights. I'm inspired now to do more myself. I could probably do that "ditto" one, anyway!

    1. The ditto sign only works if you can convince your neighbor to go over the top.

Did Santa's sleigh leave any marks on Mel's roof?

    1. No, I waxed the fiberglass roof and he just slid right on by.

  8. That looks and sounds like a great time. RV Parks usually do great things if they have good activity teams.

    1. The food was just carry in snacks. The guy that did the ditto sign was the elf in the next picture.
