On the way back I stopped at Roma and took a few pictures of this historic border town located on the banks of the Rio Grande river. Roma was founded in 1770 and here are some the sights from the historic district.
This morning started with a phone call from Roger and Donna that they were on their way to the Valley from Zapata with Harley and Annis in tow. They were headed to the Donna/Ana flea market but wanted to have breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. I joined them and we had a nice breakfast and visit before the headed on to shop for fleas.
The rest of my day will be in the relax mode as I absorb all the enjoyment of the good life.
Sometimes slow quiet days are a Good Way to Enjoy the Good Life. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Too much activity just makes me tired.
DeleteBoy, aren't you the social butterfly. Hope you get to spread your wings again today and flutter about.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a day off.
DeleteGlad to see you're keeping the tires on your PT from getting flat spots. ;c)
ReplyDeleteSo much to see, so little time.
DeleteThat's the perfect time to check out the sights. When no one else is there you can see everything you want to see without the crowds. The town definitely looked deserted but a nice day for a drive.
ReplyDeleteA good day with not much traffic.
DeleteThanks for sharing your day trip yesterday. I love old towns. I bet I said that before.
ReplyDeleteI think you did, but it's nice to have my memory refreshed.
DeleteThose old historic things are always so interesting! There may be hope for us old guys yet!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you suppose in a couple of years people will be coming to take pictures of us?
