Brrr.

The worm has turned. After several nice days the thermometer lost mercury yesterday and it's no better today. By comparison with other locations we should not be complaining, but those of us who are acclimated still suffer when the temperature drops below 60 and today is that sort of day. Again, as usual on this kind of day there is not much activity in the park and most everyone stays pretty close to their caves.

I did walk down to the park office and catch up on the current happenings. The information gathered is that there is nothing happening as everyone seems to be recovering from Christmas. I also have noticed a lot of the ladies roll out of the park in the morning. And I've been told this in pursuit of the elusive after Christmas bargains. My hats off to them in braving the melee to save the money they save. I just can't imagine you could save enough to make it worthwhile, but then again I don't have the shopping gene.

My schedule for today is again empty, but I will be enjoying the good life.

  1. Good thing those ladies weren't up here yesterday, due to the weather the mall was even closed.

Enjoy the 60 degrees...30 here; wind chill factor 24.

  2. It's downright chilly in Arizona too! How far south do we have to go?

    1. I'm ten miles north of the Mexican border so no further south for me.

  3. I'm thinking Paul and Marsha probably had whiter landscape then we did but it's still a pain the 6" we got. Yesterday was worse as we were dealing with a breakin to our car just ahead of the storm. Not an easy way of Enjoying the Good Life. Be Safe.

    It's about time.

    1. I agree, I'm to the point where if I buy something else has to go. That works well in controlling input.

  5. I have different locations of RVers in my iPhone....its really amazing how cold it gets at night everywhere....even out in Ajo Az. Still haven't decided what to buy but keep going back to a BT Cruiser...love those things. I imagine you are enjoying your toad since you are stationary for the winter.

    1. I am enjoying the wheels. Something I don't need in the summer while traveling, but it sure is nice while sitting.

  6. The mall is packed near me. After Xmas sales must be good ...I wouldn't know cause I stay FAR away as possible. Like maybe February would be a good time to go shop. Its FREEZING here in the 30s. The wind and rain makes it so. Want to trade the temps.?

    1. Michelle, I worked for JC Penney in management for 11 years and you couldn't drag me to a store this time of year. I wouldn't think, if we traded temperatures, I would survive. I'm too much of a wuss.

  8. I wouldn't take my hat off in that cold, if I were you, John. Oh, by the way, was that an inch worm you were referring to by chance, when you said "the worm has turned". Sounds more like an Arctic Turn than a worm to me.
