New arrivals

Yesterday I found out that Don and Patt are on the road from northern Iowa and should arrive in the park later today. We were neighbors at Four Seasons in Zapata for three years and they decided to follow me to Mission this year to avoid the drama at the old park. They should be arriving late this afternoon and I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I have solved the Christmas gift buying dilemma. I will be buying all my gifts from Amazon and using their gift wrapping service. Considering the two day transit time for Premier members I will be most surprised when gifts arrives and have no idea what's in the package. Shoot, in two days I might not even know who sent them.

Now it is time to roll out the red carpet and get ready to greet my friend. Having friends show up is all part of the good life.

  2. I hope you can wait until Christmas. I know how hard it is for you kids to wait...no peeking!

    1. The advantage of being an adult is there is no one to tell me not to peek.

  3. Love that Amazon Prime. I ordered a couple of videos and the option came up to choose slower shipping and get a $3 credit. I chose the credit and still got my videos in three days. As for Christmas shopping - ours is all done. We went to the bank today and got cash then to the Dollar Store for gift envelopes. Grandkids are all too old to enjoy toys so let them save up for something they really want. *SIGH* Not as fun but more practical and easier on us for sure.

    1. My grandkids always preferred the green, I thinks it's the Irish in them.

  4. That's great news, John. You can have our gifts delivered right here to the house, since we're not on the road at the moment. I love getting packages from Amazon.
