Another busy day

Today was another busy day. I decided to head to Wal Mart to get some ideas of what I wanted to get myself for Christmas. I found several good ideas and now I'm looking for an idea for a fund raiser to support my extravagant tastes. Anyone who would like to contribute just feel free to join in.

Actually I was a bit surprised because it appeared that today it was business as usual. No large crowds, no pushing or shoving and no guns were displayed, at least in my presence. I did procure some vittles so the refrigerator had to go back to work.

Last night Indiana hammered North Carolina by 24 points and I'm starting to believe this team might be for real. They are off to a 7 and 0 start and have already knocked off a couple of top 25 teams.

Having spent a good part of the day out and about it seems like time to just sit and enjoy the good life.

  1. Be sure to send Santa your wish list. We haven't braved Walmart since before Thanksgiving. Maybe tomorrow. And I sure hope there's no pushing and shoving and especially not guns.

  2. I just ordered my gift to myself from Amazon. A truckers antenna and sleek cradle that will hopefully help out with cell phone and internet reception. Glad to hear Walmart has cooled down for awhile.

    1. I hoe your present to yourself helps. That's what you get for living out in the boonies.

    1. I'll have to root for the Buckeyes. Don't let that get out that there is an IU fan cheering for a Buckeye.

    1. Not very likely to happen without a ticket, but if you win remember you friends.

  5. You could print a sign on cardboard, and find a corner to stand on. My brother-in-law, who is older than I am, did that and his sign said "help me support my duck football habit". He was being funny, but a lot of people stopped and wanted to give him money. You wouldn't get anywhere using that one, but you could use a different one...like help me pay for Christmas presents. Might work!

    1. How bout "I'll work for Christmas presents". Those folks that will work for food don't ever do anything, so I suppose I wouldn't have to either.

  6. Don't tell yourself what you're getting yourself for Christmas. It's supposed to be a surprise and I can't wait to see how you pull this one off!

    1. It's not hard at this age to buy, wrap and be surprised Christmas morning. Sort of like hiding you own Easter eggs.

  7. I want to know if you wrap all those gifts and put them under the tree?? Then, do you really unwrap them on Christmas? Or, do you cheat and get them early? The little people on TV keep telling us how many shopping days we have until Christmas. I'm glad you're making sure you take advantage of all of them.

    1. After I wrap them and put them under the tree I wait three days and then start shaking them to see if I can figure out what I got. Probably will have them all open before Christmas.
