Birthday time
It was 5 years ago today I went to Des Moines, Iowa and met Mel at the dealers to begin our journey. Since then we have covered 35,662 miles of the country and spent time 31 states. We have seen countless museums and delved into history. The amazing part of this journey is the people that we have encountered, both in person and through the blog. People we would have never met otherwise that are now considered friends. Places we would never have seen are now familiar stops. All of this and yet we have only seemed to scratch the surface. This country offers so much and as we head out for the second 5 years we can only thank all of you for being with us and say, "it sure has been great enjoying the good life."

You are welcome. :) Looking forward to the next five year of the good life. Maybe you'll get some shoes by then, Joe. :)

DeleteCongratulations on your 5 years of living the good life! You are an inspiration to many, and a fine example of someone who knows his baseball. AND...5 years without shoes might even be a record, who knows?
ReplyDeleteThanks Russ, but I'll assure 5 years is nowhere close to a record in my part of the country.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Mel and you and I hope that you have many more happy years of traveling together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Mel!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHappy Birthday, Happy Anniversary and here's hoping the next five are just as fun as the first five.

ReplyDeleteNo, that battle continues.

ReplyDeleteThanks, so much to see and so little time to see it all.
DeleteCongratulation to Mel and you for a five year adventure that's just the beginning. It's really fun tagging along with you two and sharing all the experiences.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to many more years of your adventures.
You know Kenny it is so nice to have you along, thanks.
DeleteI think the Cardinals rode out of town in your new car.....they are all gone....
ReplyDeleteI think they sort of ended the season with a whimper.
