Thank goodness the Olympics are on as we continue to wait for the parts to arrive so we can complete Mel's repairs. This much daytime TV would normally drive me crazy (I know most think it's not a drive, but just a short putt), but the Olympics has been a pleasant diversion. Another diversion that is coming up either tomorrow or Wednesday will be a trip to Wal-mart. When I make the trip I also intend to visit the Truth or Consequences Memorial Park. I haven't been there in about three years and I know they have added a lot to the park to compliment The Wall that is the focal point of the park.
Today will be more Olympics on the agenda and maybe a spin around Mel on the ride-a-vac. Just a couple of ways to enjoy the good life.
Olympics? What that? Oh I forgot sorry I don't watch T.V. at all. I can check it out in the newspaper..right? Oh I forgot...I don't read the sports section LOL sorry.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to apologize, to each their own.
DeleteLove the Olympics...especially the NON-professionals!!!
ReplyDeleteI just can't image how much work they must do and what commitment!
I agree, The effort to get to this point in their careers is incomprehensible.
DeleteYou have a riding vacuum cleaner? Wow, I've seen riding lawn mowers, but nothing like that. You must cover a lot of floor space with that thing! Glad you've found plenty to keep you occupied while you wait for those parts.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for someone else with a riding vac so we can race 'em.
DeleteAt the rate the parts are coming in, you might get to enjoy Christmas in NM.
ReplyDeleteBarney, that wasn't very positive. True, just not positive.
DeleteI haven't graduated to a riding vacuum cleaner yet. Russ says I still ride a broom!!
ReplyDeleteDoes Russ like sleeping in Poppy's house?
DeleteIt's like a second home!!
DeleteAt least you have something to amuse yourself. I like the swimming and diving mostly. All the running stuff leaves me tired.
ReplyDeleteBut yes those kids and young adults train hard to get there. That alone is something to be proud of.
I will have to admit I liked it better when it was all amateur.
