Well today is the last day of the Olympics and it's been an interesting show. I saw some 'sports' that I didn't even know existed, like team handball and rhythmic gymnastic balls and clubs. There were also the usual cheating scandals and the and the complaints of biased subjective scoring. In other words a typical Olympics with the joy of victory and the agony of defeat. The thing that still amazes is that the records that continue to be broken as man continues to evolve. All in all it was a good show and as they will say at the closing ceremonies, 'see you in fours years in Rio'.
Today we will finish watching the Olympics and there is a baseball game to keep me entertained while I spend the day in the weekend mode enjoying the good life.
Colts vs Rams on the NFL network at 1:30pm
ReplyDeleteCardinals at Philly on FSMW, same time.
ReplyDeleteThat's the time for my afternoon nap. Guess I'll miss both.
ReplyDeleteAt least you've prioritized things.
DeleteI've enjoyed the Olympics in the evening, but I'm good for another four years. Unlike you, I don't watch baseball unless the Cubs are in the World Series, and I'm dreading football season. It messes up my DVR recording. :P
ReplyDeleteAs a Cardinal fan I try to be sympathetic with with Cubs fans, but it's soooo hard. LOL
DeleteI will miss the Olympics. I wish gymnastics could be a bit more objective. Too much subjective scoring in some of the sports.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteAnd I am sure you will find some other sport to keep you enjoying the good life.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard anything about your parts?
You are probably right about the sports. No word on the parts yet, but I'm going to check tomorrow.
