Full timers always look forward to the weekends when the weekend warriors descend on the park and bring their particular brand of chaos. Nothing wrong with them enjoying themselves, but the atmosphere of the park sure changes from Friday night through Sunday night while they are here. When they pull out and head back to their workaday world it is noticed.
On the schedule for today is the arrival of the UPS man with a new keyboard for the computer. It finally sunk in that a keyboard only has the capacity of so many meals eaten above it and when it reaches that capacity it doesn't function all that well, as a matter of fact it really acts pretty crummy. I opted for a $15.00 keyboard and passed on the many choices that were over $100.00 not fully comprehending how the additional $85.00 or so would have improved my typing. Maybe what I need is a keyboard with a crumb catcher or a tray like a toaster has that could be regularly dumped.
After the arrival of the UPS man the schedule has been cleared to install the new keyboard and get on with enjoying the good life.
LOL, I blow the crumbs out of mine with the air can...
ReplyDeleteWeekend atmosphere of campgrounds? Oh yes, if I have only a few days to camp, it will be between monday and Friday am.
Air can doesn't work too well on the sticky stuff, just the crummy stuff.
DeleteI guess if anyone ever called you butter fingers, there might be some truth to it? :)
ReplyDeleteButter is only one of the many ingredients that might be rolling off my fingers and onto the keyboard.
DeleteIf you find that crumb catcher for your keyboard, let me know. Paul needs it badly!
ReplyDeleteMight be easier to join the keyboard of the month club.
DeleteI have seen flexible clear plastic covers for keyboards in use at restaurants.
ReplyDeleteI stocked them when I had the computer store and I wouldn't have one for myself, just didn't like the feel of them.
DeleteSince I didn't have a desk until today since the move I was not at all happy not having a key board. But I learned to move the key board aside while I eat and just play spider. Keeps the key board nice and clean.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy you weekend
See, you're lots smarter than I am.
DeleteSort of brings a new meaning to the phrase "Eat your words".
ReplyDeleteTasty literature.
DeleteHi, John,
ReplyDeleteI don't begrudge the weekenders their fun. Lord knows they need it. I do notice they tend to be noisier. Must be the stress releasing into the atmosphere.
I think you're the same John whom I missed meeting in T or C. Sorry about that.. . Maybe another time.
I do T or C in the spring and the fall. Some day our pats will cross.
