Welcome to Welcome

After pounding the payment yesterday a nice 100 mile day was in order, so I stopped at Welcome, Minnesota. I have been properly welcomed and my check was accepted so I'm good for the next couple of days to avoid the weekend warriors. One benefit of Welcome is that you won't be overwhelmed with excitement, as all 686 inhabitants are reported to be pretty well behaved.

Time to watch the grass growing is on today's agenda. Even grass growing can be part of enjoying the good life.

  1. As long as you don't have to mow that grass, it's all good. Glad you're not going to wear out your (you know what) there!

    1. The grass was just mowed yesterday for the weekend. I'll leave before I'll mow.

  2. Yes, but hoe well behaved are you? After admitting to wild, late night behavior at your class reunion, a person begins to wonder...

    1. By this towns standards I'm probably a wild and crazy guy. I'll see tonight if the sidewalks are still out after 9 pm.

  3. We usually meet the nicest people in small-town America. Also, they usually have the best little places to eat!

    1. They must not have seen a bunch of seniors battling for five in a row. It almost becomes a contact sport.
