Today's location.

This morning I left Hannibal and headed north through Illinois. After about 180 miles and about 4 hours of driving I arrived in Geneseo Illinois which is just east of the Quad Cities. I have paid for two nights because it's been almost a week since I've been in a park and it's time to empty some tanks, fill other tanks and maybe do some laundry. Plus after the wild weekend with two nights where I was up after 9:00 pm it's time just to go into the recovery mode. (lest anyone thinks I'm a huge wimp, normal bedtime around here is midnight.) This is a very woody campground and I think I got the only site that has a satellite view, so all is good. TV, internet and utilities.

Today I am going to make the rounds and check the place out and see what I will have to do to enjoy the good life.

  1. You should go back to Russell...I really enjoyed that place and reading about it on your blog. But, since you're determined to go your own way, without benefit of my direction, take a good look around there and enjoy your good life.

  2. Russ, I think you would be happy if I homesteaded in Russell and mentioned your name daily. I think I'm headed for Donna someplace so I can provide equal time.

    1. The Texas Donna is next to Mission where I winter. I should be able to work it into the blog a lot this winter.

  5. Are you sure that two nights to recover will be enough? You wild kids, staying up so late, how did you do it? ;c)

  6. I have put the candle out at one end which should double the speed of the recovery.
