Just a sittin'

I extended the stay here in Seibert by one more day to get some more cleaning done on Mel. Today the effort will be directed at mirrors, inside glass and linoleum. Tomorrow we will stop in route at the Blue Beacon Truck Wash in Colby, Kansas to remove some of the topsoil from Mel's exterior. I need to do this before we reach the Midwest crop growing area area or Mel might sprout like a Chia pet. I also need to clean the cockpit area, an area that is ignored, except when driving. This also might have to be done in the comfort of air conditioning whit today's temperature in the 100 degree range.

Other than that we will have to watch some baseball and just kick back to enjoy the good life and fathers day.

  1. Growing a Chia pet isn't that bad. We didn't get a chance to wash the trailer yet so we're starting to grow grass on it. Now I'm going to have to borrow our son's lawn mower to clean it off.

    It's about time.

    1. You see what I mean. I don't have access to a lawn mower and if it gets started think in the wind resistance.

  2. If all it takes to look like a Chia pet is topsoil and the crop growing area, maybe some of the men that need to grow hair should try that approach.

    1. A world full of men with green hair might take some getting used to.

  4. I hope you enjoyed your Fathers Day.
A good cleaning will make you and Mel feel much more comfy. I have been giving this place an over haul since its for sale.
    The weather here is HOT!

  5. I'm still trying to convince Russ that washing Therapy is a good thing. Maybe now that some grandkids have arrived,he'll pay them to do it!!

    1. Russ, removing the topsoil before it germinates is generally a good thing unless you have a particular crop in mind.

  6. Chia Pet! I got a great laugh out of that one. I used a Blue Beacon for the first time last week and am pretty happy with the results. Even if I didn't have quite as much topsoil to remove as you. ;c)

    1. If it had gotten any worse I would have had to take Mel to a garden center or higher a landscaper.
