This morning it was time for Mel to get new shoes. So at 7 am it was off to the tire shop. Of course they were short handed and I apparently attracted additional business they don't usually get.
On the jacks.
Working on the front shoes.
And another view.
To the back shoes.
And ready to come off the jacks and hit the road.
While waiting for Mel to get shod the city provided entertainment for the morning as they replaced a pole that had been damaged in an auto accident on Friday. I always enjoy watching other people work. In this case it was a 4 man crew. Composed of three shovel leaners and one machinery operator.
After the billfold was flattened I took the rest of the moths I found at the bottom of the billfold to Wal-mart and bartered with them to fill the pantry and out of a fit of jealousy I purchased a new set of shoes for myself. It only seemed fair. Keeping up with Mel is part of enjoying the good life.
What no pictures of your new shoe's??
ReplyDeleteMel's had much more impact on the budget.
DeleteFour road workers showed at the job site and discovered they left their tools at the shop. They called the foreman and was told,"You guys will just have to lean on each other until I can bring you some tools"....HAR!!!
ReplyDeleteDrum roll Michael.
DeleteAnd here I thought you were Shoeless Joe? That destroys my image of you. :( :)
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say Judy?
DeleteLol, that is exactly what I was going to say :)
DeleteRatio of leaners to workers sounds about typical.
ReplyDeleteDonna, you see it like I do.
DeleteNice new shoes for Mel and you? Man what an expensive day you had. But yes all important for the good life.
ReplyDeleteSort of a necessary expense keeping Mel shod. Me, not so much.
Delete"out of a fit of jealousy I purchased a new set of shoes for myself."
ReplyDeleteOh, I laughed so much when I read the above statement :D
I couldn't let Mel have all the fun.
DeleteDid you get air jordans? Will they have a blow out too?
ReplyDeleteWith my recent history with air I avoided 'air' anything.
