Yesterday the wind made a serious attempt to to relocate us into Texas. We had steady winds in the 20 mph range and gust in the 30+ mph range. No attempt was made to fight my way to the laundry room for fear the winds would grab my laundry and not give it up until it was out of state. This morning I did get in a walk, but that was before the temps began to climb and right now we are at 80 and the humidity is 9%. It did make 96 degrees yesterday and it is supposed to be warmer today. A couple of pictures of nothing special taken on the walk.
A bird on a stick.
Nothing remarkable here.
Tip me over and pour me out.
Today's plan is to stay cool. This will probably be accomplished through Mel's air conditioning system with support from the local electric utility company. Their input will help us enjoy the good life.
You could certainly cool off here, today. It's supposed to be in the low 70's and so far this morning it's been lower than that for sure! Thanks for the interesting photos of the things you see. What more could we want?
ReplyDeleteRuss, pictures of nothing do require attention to detail.
DeleteGotta love that A/C. How'd we ever live without it?
ReplyDeleteLoved your pictures of "nothing"! ;c)
The A/C is a lifesaver here in New Mexico. The picture of nothing was the result of careful composing and framing.
DeleteHang on to the those clothes or we will be calling you The naked John!! Did you know the inventor of the A.C. did not want it in his own house? On the 100 year anniversary of the A.C. the granddaughter mentioned that.
ReplyDeleteI don't guess that inventor knew what he was missing. Of course, the house I grew up in wasn't air conditioned and I didn't know what I was missing either.
DeleteOh sure, just another excuse to avoid doing the laundry. You could have had it washed and AIR dried by now!!
ReplyDeleteAny excuse works for me, too windy, not windy enough, whatever.
DeleteI especially like the bird on a stick. I'm going to guess it's a quail. :)

DeleteActually Judy it's a Gambel Quail and I think the gamble is where the stick might end up.
DeleteThe picture of nothing should be framed and then???
ReplyDeleteIt's not often you see a picture of nothing that is museum quality.
DeleteWe have been getting the wind also here in Garberville, CA.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the titles of your photos. I had to look real close to see the bird on a stick. Very clever indeed.
Thanks folks, you can't even begin to imagine the brain power required to caption those photos.
DeleteAt least you tried. Its hard to post when there is nothing going on.
ReplyDeleteBut you did a better job than I.
Jo, sometimes we just have to become aware of our surroundings, it's always easy to find 'nothing'.
