Freedom isn't free.
The Whitewater/Baldy fire burning 100 miles to the west of us continues to grow and is now up to 122,000+ acres. For the most part the wind has been from the south.southwest and is keeping the smoke to the north of us, however last night the smoke cloud sort of edged back our way.
Air quality has not been bad and last nights air smelled of a campfire. People to the north aren't a fortunate. Temperatures dropped into the 40's last night and maybe that will help suppress the fire. Meanwhile back here at the ranch we are going to spend the day in the relaxed mode, enjoying the good life.

DeleteAgree with Paul and Marsha!! Hope the fire can be contained and extinguished very soon.
ReplyDeleteThey're letting it burn for now because of the wind and the remoteness of the location.

ReplyDeleteIt's so early in the season to be having these bad fires. I know we all prayed hard with the winds we had.
