Freedom isn't free.

The Whitewater/Baldy fire burning 100 miles to the west of us continues to grow and is now up to 122,000+ acres. For the most part the wind has been from the south.southwest and is keeping the smoke to the north of us, however last night the smoke cloud sort of edged back our way.

Air quality has not been bad and last nights air smelled of a campfire.  People to the north aren't a fortunate. Temperatures dropped into the 40's last night and maybe that will help suppress the fire. Meanwhile back here at the ranch we are going to spend the day in the relaxed mode, enjoying the good life.

  1. As long as the smoke does not obscure the Flag, you'll be okay.

    1. They're letting it burn for now because of the wind and the remoteness of the location.

    1. Thank you and again I reiterate, my contribution pales in comparison to many who gave so much more.

  5. Hope you enjoyed the good life today to the fullest.

It's so early in the season to be having these bad fires. I know we all prayed hard with the winds we had.

    Good pictures.
