Look what's here

Late yesterday afternoon I checked my mail box and to my surprise look what was in it.

So this mornings job was to clean the glue off the mirror and clean it  up to install the new spot mirror.

The job is done and rear vision has been restored. Another job well done.

I'm still scratching my head on how it arrived yesterday when it wasn't received at the Mission post office until 9:14 and they say it was delivered at 10:41. Maybe they felt guilty because the package was so long in Mcallen.

A couple of other pictures to share were taken to the east after the hail storm passed the other night. An interesting sky to say the least.

Cardinal baseball this afternoon as we enter the Sunday mode of enjoying the good life.

  1. Great shots!!!

Our postmaster explained to us the other day that the regular carriers take the mail, but the packages are now being subcontracted out to delivery folks who bid for the jobs and work as independant contractors. Strange eh? Because my daughter was waiting for a package to come, and only got her regular letter type mail. She left the house and an hour later the package arrived and it was left out on the step for many hours... (it was prescription meds and she didn't want the risk of leaving them out.. that is why she waited) When she called to complain ,that is the explanation that was given to her?????

    1. I guess the post office has their own ways of messing up the mail, some we wouldn't even think of. This park, even though it is in the city limits is delivered by a contract carrier and then sorted in the park by staff. Each site has it's own locked mailbox.

    1. Jo, I'm afraid it is unless I find something else I can't live without.
