What's the deal?

The conversations floating around bloggerville the last few days has been mostly weather related and today my post will be no different. What is with this weather? Today is March 9th, deep in the heart of Texas in the Rio Grande Valley and so far the high temperature is 47 degrees and we've had a tenth of an inch of rain this morning. Normal temperature for today is 80 degrees so it looks like we are about 33 degrees below normal. Believe me this is not what I came here for.

We had another departure this morning as Jim pulled up stakes and headed back home to Missouri.

Yesterdays basketball results were good, with both Missouri and Indiana winning. This gives me two more games to watch today. So, I will be throwing another log on the fire in an effort to ward off the cool temperatures, watching a couple of games and enjoying the good life.

  2. Sunny, windless, blue skies and 60 in Eugene, OR today (but that is supposed to change tomorrow). My Oregon Ducks lost by 1 point to Colorado last night so they are done for now.

  4. Our temps were warmer than yours today and we enjoyed lots of sunshine. This has been a very strange winter for us.

  5. If I were a snowbird, I'd not be taking flight just yet!
;-) At least we know the cold temps here don't stick around very long.
